Our Origin Story

Our journey began with a commandment — In Luke 22:32, Jesus says to Simon Peter (often just called Peter), “But I have prayed for you, Simon, that your faith will not fail. And when you have turned back, strengthen your brothers.” The King James Version (KJV) renders it beautifully: “But I have prayed for thee, that thy faith fail not: and when thou art converted, strengthen thy brethren” ¹.

Here’s the context: This conversation takes place during the Last Supper, just before Jesus’ arrest and crucifixion. Jesus knows that Peter will deny Him three times, but He also sees beyond that moment. He prays for Peter’s faith to remain steadfast and, importantly, for Peter to eventually turn back—to repent and return to the path of discipleship. And when that happens, Jesus instructs Peter to strengthen his fellow disciples.
