He Knows What You Need

The next week, when I returned to church and the sacrament was being passed, I said a quiet prayer to Heavenly Father.

I told Him that I understood He wanted me to become active again—but that He also knew my greatest weakness. Just to be sure, I said it out loud in my prayer:

It was my pride.

I told Him that if I was going to come back, I would need help with my pride—because it had led me to so many wrong choices.

As I sat there, I didn’t hear any response.

But after the sacrament, when the meeting continued, the first speaker stood up and began to talk… about pride.

I don’t remember everything he said.

My heart was too full.

Because in that moment, the Spirit whispered quietly:

Yes. He knows what you need.
